Wheel Cove may have been a nicely sheltered spot with an easy belly landing for the average penguin but it lacked a critical ingredient – soil to dig a burrow in.
The fence has been built to protect a colony of little penguins from funds raised in the community from the 1980’s Eden Fairy Penguin Fund.
